AIGA Roundtable

Would anyone be interested in participating in AIGA's annual roundtable discussion?

It is a really neat opporunity to gather with other designers and discuss what is going on with AIGA and bring up any issues you might have. It's a pretty small and intimate format (I think it was 12-15 people last year.) It will most likely be the night of April 12th. If you are interested, e-mail me at justine.jordan@yahoo.com

Hope to see some of you there!

Dear Design professional,

Each year, AIGA Indianapolis holds a small roundtable discussion
to make sure we are getting member feedback on local and national
AIGA programs and services. I would like to invite you to participate
in this year's roundtable for the purpose of sharing your experience
of AIGA as a member.

We're looking for a cross-section of voices across the country -
our chapter is inviting 20 members, but can only accomodate the
first only 10 to 12 people who respond, so please RSVP. The results
of the roundtable will be shared with other chapters, the national board
of directors and staff, and will become the basis for discussions during
our national leadership retreat in June.

The kinds of questions that we'll put in the table include:

- When you describe AIGA to people (designers or others) who do not
know the organization, what do you say?
- How do you find out about AIGA activities and events? Describe when
this communication is most effective.
- What are the top three AIGA activities or services that have made a
difference to you?
- What would cause you to value AIGA (even) more?
- Do you make a distinction between value of AIGA at a local level and
the value of being associated with a national organization? Does one aspect
hold more or less value for you?

Please join us on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30-8:30 p.m.
for our roundtable discussion. Claddagh Irish Pub, 96th street

AIGA Indianapolis will provide (a free round of drinks and appetizers
will be provided in thanks for your participation)
The favor of a response is requested by Friday, April 7th.
You can reach me at 317-915-8693, or email me at either address:
